Hugo Vásquez-Vera is Medical Doctor, Master on Community Public Health and Local Development (Universidad de La Frontera, Chile) and Master on Public Health (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain). His main area of research is housing exclusion and health. He has collaborated as a researcher in the European project: “Evaluating the Impact of Structural Policies on Health Inequalities” (SOPHIE) and “Intersectoral Action and Health Equity in Latin America: An Analytical Approach” of the Pan American Health Organization. At present, he is pre-doctoral researcher at Social Determinants of Health Research Group of the Sant Pau Institute of Biomedical Research, Housing and Health Research Group of the Public Health Agency of Barcelona and the European project: “Participatory Urban Living for Sustainable Environments” (PULSE).
